Once upon a time, there was a little white rabbit named Leo. He lived in a cozy burrow at the edge of a large meadow filled with colorful flowers.
One morning, after a gentle rain, Leo noticed something wonderful in the sky.
“Oh! What is that big bridge of colors?” he asked, opening his eyes wide.
His mother smiled.
“It’s a rainbow, my little one. It sometimes appears after the rain.”
Leo admired its beautiful colors.
“I would love to see it up close!” he said excitedly.
So he set off across the meadow.
He walked past the white daisies and asked a ladybug:
“Do you know where the rainbow is?”
“No,” replied the ladybug, “but it is very beautiful to look at.”
Leo continued on his way. He met a squirrel who was busy gathering hazelnuts.
“Have you seen the rainbow?” he asked.
“Yes,” replied the squirrel, “but every time I get closer, it seems to move farther away.”
The little rabbit continued his journey until he reached a hill. He climbed to the very top and looked all around.
The rainbow was still shining in the sky, but it was still far away.
Tired, Leo sat down in the grass. Just then, a colorful butterfly landed beside him.
“Why are you sad?” asked the butterfly.
“I wanted to touch the rainbow, but I can’t.”
The butterfly gently fluttered its wings.
“A rainbow is not a place you can go to. It is a gift from the sky for us to admire its beauty.”
Leo looked once more at the bright colors and smiled.
“You’re right. I can enjoy it even from far away.”
When he returned home, he told his mother all about his adventure.
From that day on, whenever a rainbow appeared, Leo would stop for a moment to admire it and remember that some wonders are meant to be appreciated from afar.
