Once upon a time, there was a little elephant named Bobo. He lived in a vast savanna with his family and friends.
Bobo loved playing in puddles, but it hadn’t rained for several days.
The ground was getting dry, and the animals were thirsty.
“Where has the rain gone?” asked Bobo.
The old lion replied:
“The rain comes when the sky is ready.”
But Bobo was worried.
He decided to go in search of the rain.
He walked for a long time across the savanna.
He asked the giraffe:
“Have you seen the rain?”
“No,” she replied, “but I saw some clouds far away.”
Bobo continued on his way.
He met a little monkey in a tree.
“Will the rain come back?” asked Bobo.
The monkey smiled:
“Maybe… but you have to be patient.”
Bobo sighed.
He came to a large hill and looked up at the sky.
The clouds were there… but they looked tired and sad.
“Why isn’t it raining?” he asked.
A tiny drop of water fell right in front of him.
“We can’t fall if the sky is sad,” said the drop.
Bobo thought for a moment.
“What if we made the sky happy?”
He began to play, dance, and make the animals laugh.
The monkey joined him.
Then the giraffe, then the zebra.
Little by little, the laughter rose up toward the sky.
The clouds began to move.
Then, suddenly…
Plop! Plop! Plop!
The rain began to fall gently.
“It’s working!” Bobo shouted.
The whole savanna began to dance in the rain.
The earth became green and joyful once more.
The rivers began to flow again.
The old lion smiled:
“You’ve learned that joy can awaken even the sky.”
Bobo was happy.
From that day on, he was no longer afraid of the gray clouds.
For he knew that the rain always returns… when the heart is joyful.
