Once upon a time, there were two little villages separated by a river: the village of Lune and the village of Soleil.
The people on both sides lived happily, but they couldn’t easily meet each other.
There was no bridge.
The children in the village of Lune said:
“We’d love to play with the children on the other side!”
And on the other side, the children in the village of Soleil said the same thing.
One day, a little boy named Adam had an idea.
“What if we built a bridge?”
Everyone was surprised.
“But we’re too small,” someone said.
Adam replied:
“If everyone pitches in a little, we can do it.”
The villagers began to work together.
Some brought wood, others brought ropes, and some cheered on the workers.
Little by little, a bridge began to take shape.
But one day, a heavy rain came.
The river became rough.
“The bridge won’t hold!” some said.
Adam looked at the bridge.
“We have to keep going together!”
The residents of both villages began to work even harder.
They reinforced the ropes, added planks, and didn’t lose heart.
Finally…
The bridge was finished.
Everyone applauded.
The children from both villages met in the middle of the bridge.
They laughed, played, and became friends.
The wise old man said:
“This bridge isn’t just made of wood… it’s made of friendship.”
Adam smiled.
He had realized something important:
When people work together, not even a river can separate them.
And from that day on, the two villages were never separated again.
