The Little Bird and the Raindrop

Once upon a time, there was a little bird named Leo. He lived in a cozy nest at the top of a tall tree, near a meadow filled with colorful flowers.

Every morning, Leo woke up to the songs of the birds. He spread his wings, greeted the sun, and set off to explore the world.

One day, big gray clouds appeared in the sky.

“It’s going to rain!” said his mother.

Soon, the first raindrops began to fall. Leo stayed in his nest and watched the rain dance on the leaves.

Suddenly, a tiny raindrop landed right in front of him.

“Hello!” said the raindrop in a cheerful voice.

Leo was very surprised.

“Oh! Can you talk?”

“Of course! My name is Pearl. Would you like to hear about my journey?”

“Yes!” Leo replied excitedly.

Pearl began her story.

“I come from a big cloud that was floating high in the sky. With my friends, I traveled over mountains, forests, and rivers.”

Leo listened with admiration.

“And where are you going now?”

“I’m going to help the flowers grow,” Pearl replied. “Then I might join a river, a lake, or even the sea.”

The rain continued to fall gently.

Then Pearl slid onto a green leaf.

“Look!” she said.

A little flower that seemed tired slowly lifted its head.

“Thank you, little raindrop,” whispered the flower.

Leo smiled.

“You help so many living things!”

“Every drop counts,” Pearl replied.

Little by little, the rain stopped. The sun appeared again between the clouds.

A beautiful rainbow lit up the sky.

“It’s time for me to go,” said Pearl.

“Thank you for your story,” replied Leo.

The raindrop gently slid to the ground and disappeared among the flowers.

From that day on, whenever Leo saw the rain falling, he thought of Pearl and her incredible journey.

And he remembered that even a tiny drop of water can accomplish great things.
