Once upon a time, there was a little lighthouse named Lumo. He stood on a cliff, overlooking a vast, stormy sea.
Lumo was small, but very brave. Every night, he shone his light to guide the ships.
“I must protect the travelers,” he said proudly.
But one evening, the sea became very rough.
The waves were high, and the wind was blowing hard.
“I’m too small for all this…” whispered Lumo.
The other lighthouses around him shone brightly and fearlessly.
“Stay calm, Lumo!” said the old lighthouse next door. “Your light is important.”
But Lumo had doubts.
That night, a small boat had gotten lost in the storm.
“I can’t see a thing!” shouted the sailor.
Lumo trembled.
“What if my light isn’t strong enough?”
Then he thought of the sailor in danger.
He took a deep breath and turned on his light.
A soft but very bright light.
It cut through the rain, the wind, and the waves.
“This way!” shouted the sailor when he saw the beam.
The boat followed Lumo’s light and arrived safely at the harbor.
In the morning, the sea calmed down.
The old lighthouse smiled:
“See? You don’t have to be the biggest. You just have to shine when it matters.”
Lumo looked out at the sea.
He then understood that even a small light can save lives on the darkest night.
From that day on, he never doubted himself again.
And every night, he shone bravely, even when the sea was angry.
