Once upon a time, there was a little cloud named Nilo. He lived in a vast sky, surrounded by sunshine, wind, and other clouds.
Nilo received many things every day: the light of the sun, the strength of the wind, and the freshness of the rain.
But he never said “thank you.”
“Why should I say thank you?” he would say. “All of this just happens on its own.”
One day, the wind blew more gently than usual.
“I’m tired…” it murmured.
The sun, too, wasn’t shining as brightly.
“I need some rest…”
And the rain didn’t fall for several days.
The world below began to change.
The flowers drooped sadly.
The rivers grew weak.
The children looked up at the sky with concern.
Nilo didn’t understand.
“Why is the world less beautiful?”
A tiny raindrop answered him:
“Maybe you haven’t noticed everything you receive.”
Nilo thought about it.
For the first time, he really looked around.
He saw the sun giving off its warmth.
He felt the wind carrying him along.
He understood that the rain nourished the Earth.
“I… I’d never thought about any of that…”
The wind returned gently.
“We all work together to bring the world to life.”
Nilo felt something in his heart.
“Thank you…” he whispered.
At that moment, something changed.
The sun shone a little brighter.
The wind blew gently.
And the rain began to fall again.
The flowers smiled once more.
Nilo then realized something important:
Saying “thank you” makes the world more beautiful.
From that day on, he never forgot to thank the sun, the wind, and the rain.
And every time he said “thank you,” the sky grew even brighter.
